Nike has applied the “Draft Day Hornets” concept to several of Kobe Bryants shoes, including the Nike Zoom Kobe 4 (IV) and Zoom Kobe 5 (V). The “Draft Day Hornets” concept pays tribute to the Charlotte Hornets, the very team that drafted Kobe Bryant out of high school in 1996 (they would then go on to make one of the most lopsided trades of all time, but that is another topic we won’t touch right now). Nike has applied this theme to Kobe Bryant’s last two signature sneakers; now, they attach it to the Nike Air Force 25 Low.
They features a predominantly white constructed from leather and mesh, along with teal and purple accents, matching the colors of the Charlotte Hornets. Minimal teal hints show up in the form of the black outlined swoosh, the tongue branding and the midsole. To finish it off, a purple translucent outsole and white laces compliment this shoe nicely.
